truth behind SEO !!

The very first basic truth you need to know about SEO is that search engines are bots not humans.

Wondering whats ‘bots’, Internet robots are known by many names —bots, spiders, web robots, and crawlers. What all relative bots have in common is that they are software applications or scripts. They’re purpose or benefit is simple that to quickly complete jobs, especially repetitive ones so they do on their own with out any manual help. The differences between how humans and search engines view web pages aren’t same . Unlike humans who can view any thing like images videos , search engines are text-driven. Although technology advances rapidly, search engines are far from intelligent creatures that can feel the beauty of a cool design or enjoy the sounds and movement in movies. Instead, search engines crawl the Web, looking at particular site items ie the TEXT to get an idea what a site is about. Search engines perform several activities in order to deliver search results –crawling, indexing, processing, calculating relevancy, and retrieving. These bots crawls into the website in order to get the information about the site. In this process it searches for metatags and indexes them and this indexed content is stored in a giant database.

  1. PR is all about inbound links, the inbound links which would pass on some PR juice from the linking website will lead to increase or decrease in PR. It has nothing to do with your SERPs, so its totally not needed to concentrate on this PR.Instead concentrate on your SERPs and traffic. Just have this for fun alone, dont take it much serious.

This is what Google engineers say

“We only update the PageRank displayed in Google Toolbar a few times a year; this is our respectful hint for you to worry less about PageRank, which is just one of over 200 signals that can affect how your site is crawled, indexed and ranked. PageRank is an easy metric to focus on, but just because it’s easy doesn’t mean it’s useful for you as a site owner. If you’re looking for metrics, we’d encourage you to check out Analytics, think about conversion rates, ROI (return on investment), relevancy, or other metrics that actually correlate to meaningful gains for your website or business.”
